This book follows the story of the three regiments of Foot Guards, first under Sir John Moore and later under Washington from their departure to the Peninsula in 1808 to the major part played by them in the downfall of Napoleon at Waterloo in 1815 and all the major events in which the Guards were involved in between these years. 'Gentlemen's Sons' studies these aristocratic soldiers, examines their social backgrounds, their raison d'etre, and looks at their life on campaign. The book also examines their military dress, accompanied by photos and drawings.

The Oxfam Books and Music shop in Belper is opposite the Ritz Cinema on the lively and varied King Street. We are just a short walk from the bus and railway stations and from ample free parking at The Coppice (through the Market Square).

The shop has been newly fitted out and is light and spacious - the perfect place to browse our book and music sections. Our extensive book stock covers everything from fiction to specialist. The music section caters for all tastes and includes vinyl, CDs, sheet music and small musical instruments.. We also stock DVDs.

Everything we sell is donated by the generous people of Belper and the surrounding area. We are always looking for new stock and your donations would be welcome.
