Lancaster - The Story of a Famous Bomber

£24.99

Product description

This is a second impression dated Spring 1965 of the book first published in Autumn 1964 by Harleyford Publications Ltd. It is also marked as published in the U.S.A. by Aero Publishers, Inc. There is no jacket, but the book is soundly bound and clean inside. The brown cloth boards have some general marks and a few dark spots on the front. All edges have some light rubbing wear with surface loss; spine ends and corners have more noticeable wear and slight fraying. The book has numerous pictures and a wealth of detailed information. It has been designed in four parts - a narrative by chapter, data in a type-by-type review, briefs on squadrons and units and the individual history of each Lancaster recorded in a log by serial number. Includes photographs and drawings of the modifications made to the bam-busting Lancasters of No 617 Squadron, documents some authorities believed to have been destoyed.
