Lincoln in the 1930's and 40's

£8.99 Out Of Stock

Product description

A largely photographic history of Lincoln with captions, this book uses photographs of streets, shops, local dignitaries and, of course frequently, the cathedral to document Lincoln's emergence from depression, weathering of the Blitz and post-WWII celebrations. The bombing of Lincoln was relatively light, although some wreckage is shown, but the impact of the war and the contrast of everyday life is vividly captured.

The book has some wear on the corners, some marks on the back cover and some yellowing throughout from age but the text and pictures remain clearly legible.
