Full title: Memoirs of her late Royal Highness Charlotte Augusta, Princess of Wales etc. (from infancy to the period of her much lamented death, funeral rites etc.) and of her illustrious consort Prince Leopold of Saxe-Coburg Saalfield; including a variety of anecdotes, hitherto unpublished, with specimens of her Royal Highness' compositions in prose, poetry, and music, and fac-similes of her hand-writing; comprising also an historical memoir of the House of Saxe-coburg Saalfield.
696pp. Aside from having possibly the longest title ever conceived, this is an attractively bound and printed book. Grey half-leather binding with gilt titles and decoration, with marbled paper to both boards. Some engravings, and even a fold out musical score. All three exposed edges of block are marbled. This copy also has an attractive bookplate adhered to past down. Binding is somewhat shelf worn and rubbed, but otherwise well attached to block. Internally, scattered foxing throughout and pages a bit wavy, with general yellowing to some extent to all pages. However, with the exception of the ffep and pages 43 and 45, which are partially detached, the binding is good and tight and the pages have no annotations or scribbles.
