Modern Masterpieces of British Art

£85.00

Product description

Published circa 1930 by Amalgamated. This volume contains no title page or publication information, so may have been rebound. Brown cloth board covers. Covers are faded, worn and with a few minor blemishes. Corners bumped. Some yellowing & foxing to inside pages but the colour illustrations remain bright and clear. Binding is secure.

Features 200 British artists, from Sir William Orpen to Augustus John plus many others from the early 20th century who are less well-known today. "The colour reproductions of noteworthy examples of Modern British Art here brought together have been selected from the leading public galleries of Great Britain and Ireland, and chiefly comprise - in addition to many familiar and popular subjects - paintings that have not before been made available to the public in this form."

This book is relatively rare but, because of the uncertain dating of this particular volume, it is offered at an attractively keen price.

Of interest to collectors and art-lovers alike.
