This book was first published in a small edition of 500 copies in 1889. This first reprint was published with a Foreword by the Chief of Clanranald and a biographical note on Father Charles Macdonald by Iain Thornber. It is a fascinating record of the social history of Moidart and of the Clanranalds from the 13th century. It covers a wide spectrum of the history of the area and the lives of many of the characters who left their mark on it.

Very good condition. Blue cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. Boards are unmarked with only very slight bumping to extremities. Pages are unmarked and binding is tight.

Dustwrapper is in very good condition. There is slight creasing to the upper edge and there are some grubby marks, mainly along the folds. It is not price clipped.

Oxfam Books & Music Jesmond

We are a specialist shop nestled in the heart of Jesmond, a lovely residential area of Newcastle Upon Tyne. We opened in July 2010 and have on offer 5,000 books, 2,000 records, CDs and games as well as sheet music, cards and stationery within the shop. Our shop has high ceilings and a nice, bright and airy feel. We are gaining a very good reputation in the Rare and Collectable books and vinyl community, but also do a roaring trade in contemporary fiction and modern non-fiction. We also organise live music and book events and aim to be a hub of culture in this wonderfully tight-knit community.
