The Sultanate of Oman, situated on the south-east corner of the Arabian Peninsula, has its roots deep in history. It is an enchanted country with many diverse attractions, lively traditions and a rich cultural heritage. Evidence of Oman's glorious past is preserved with pride today. Located in Muscat, at the heart of its historic capital is the Bait Al Zubair museum.
It was established in 1998 by Mohammad Al Zubair as a private contribution to serve alongside National Museums, in preserving and exhibiting Omani heritage.
Bait Al Zubair now publishes this book, the inspiration and work of its founder, as the first in a series that will exhibit Oman's cultural heritage and promote it as a tourist destination.
