This report was the first in a series which the Government of the State of Qatar published as a contribution to the overall history of the region,. Qatar was known to be particularly rich in Stone Age material but evidence for latter settlement remained obscure and the fieldwork undertaken by Beatrice de Cardi was designed to fill some of the gaps in Qatar's past. The volume describes the excavations carried out and includes a Gazetteer recording antiquities discovered in the course of the survey.

Includes a slip stating this volume was given with the compliments of the Embassy of the State of Qatar.

In unclipped dust jacket. Apart from some slight rubbing to the edges of the DJ, in excellent condition throughout.
