The book recounts in detail the life of Parry and the terrible conditions of life in the slate mines and quarries of North Wales. The North Wales slate strikes were among the most bitter and hard fought industrial disputes anywhere in the United Kingdom. Published in 1978 this hardback is in very good condition. There is a dust wrapper which has a piece missing from the spine and a small tear at the top - see images attached. One previous owner's name on on front paste-down.No other marks or inscriptions. Not ex-library.
