Product description

The photographer Keith Allardyce first came to Orkney as a young man, absorbing the character of island life as a local assistant lighthouse keeper and an RSPB summer warden. He is well known for his best selling books on the northern lighthouses, At Scotland's Edge and Scotland's Edge Revisited, and his photographic record of Stromness in this book.
Although the dust jacket is bumped on the corners and has a split1.5 cm long, approx. 1 cm in from top front edge, also there is a split to the lower part of the rear fold of the jacket, approx. 7 cm, the block is tight, there are appealing photographs on every page, each accompanied with informative text, and the end papers comprise a clear map of the area.
