The Arab Horse

£33.99

Product description

Beginning with Padischah this book provides a complete record of all the desert-bred horses imported into Britain from the 1830s, from whom present-day, pure-bred Arabs descend. Using the words of the original importers where possible, Peter Upton details the seventy-eight horses who have lines still existing, together with mare and stallion tables of descent. His exquisite artwork, and some unique archive photographs, complement a text that is at once scholarly and fascinating.
In good condition, dust jacket is worn , has some tears and creases and has been price clipped. Page edges are slightly dirty with a few faint stains. Pages are clean and in very good condition, but tanned around the edges. Front cover of dust jacket has indented writing marks.
