This is a 1970 re-print of Adolf Galland's classic account of his career in the wartime German Air Force. From his first interest in gliding through a Luftwaffe career which saw him see service with the Condor Legion, achieve fighter ace status and senior command in World War 2 to his final action with the revolutionary Messerchmidt ME 262, this book provides a valuable insight into the life of a serving airman as well as the politics of the Third Reich. The foreword is by Douglas Bader, his erstwhile opponent and post-war friend.
The book is in good used condition. The hardback cover is slightly faded at the edges and the dust jacket is torn at the edges and the top third of the rear dust jacket is missing
