It describes the present condition or fate of the various houses which afforded the royal fugitive a safe asylum in the year 1651, with many illustrations, and contains as appendices five tracts describing the sequence of his journey and the roles of those who accompanied and helped him, with their family trees.

This hardcover book has some damage (tearing) to the cover and spine and foxing to interior cover pages. Some pages are slightly loose of the binding, but all text is clear and legible.
