The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire

£40.00

Product description

Set of eight Folio Society books in two slip cases.

The slip cases are in dark red heavy-weight card and obviously of used condition, with some marks and stains.

The books have mostly cream paper covered boards with a mottled finish. There is gilt decorative border to each board and red and blue bands on the spine containing the main volume details. The bindings are so tight that the books appear to never have been opened, hence we did not force them open to take images. The only issue that we can see is that the rear board of volume one has a diagonal crease from the bottom of the spine, where there is a small tear.
