Volumes I to V have Waverley Book Co. Ltd. notes inside the front stating that this edition is specially prepared for subscribers. There is no similar note in volume VI

Hard back books. No dust jackets. The book covers show signs of wear with bumping and marks. The cover of volume VI shows the most along with some minor damage and fading. Inside the front cover of volume I there is an inscription - 'To David Witton from David Witton Snr.' Internally the binding is a little loose in places, but is intact and the pages are in very good condition with no visible signs of damage or annotation.
