A good account of an important company that was a central figure in the industrial revolution in Shropshire. It was to the North part of Telford what Coalbrookdale and Ironbridge was to the South part. Like so many of the large companies in the nineteenth centur,y it was more than just an employer - it was a community too. Due to Shropshire's natural resources available at the time, the Lilleshall Company had many different plants making full and efficient use of those resources, building canals and railways to transport raw materials and finished products around its various sites and indeed beyond. There are a good range of contemporary illustrations including some of the products being produced.
