Towards National Health

£9.99 Out Of Stock

Product description

Also titled Health and Hygiene in England from Roman to Victorian times. We are all interested in the history of our country, and Dr. Delmege has woven this history with a golden thread running through it, for the warp is the growth of the idea of the health of the nation and the woof the long lapse of years before the fabric reached a stage - the year 1875 of the Public Health Act - when some measure of accomplishment could be revealed.

Hard back book. No dust jacket. Bound in blue with gold lettering on the front and spine. The cover is in poor to good condition. There are marks and damage to the cover, but physically it is in good condition and the binding is good. There is a separate piece of paper inside with the inscription 'with love from the author'. The pages are slightly yellowed and there are some marks on the page edges, but generally they are in very good condition with clear text, illustrations and photographs.
