Verderers of the New Forest

£12.99

Product description

Subtitled as: "A History of the New Forest 1877-1977". The book has red cloth-covered boards and spine. The front cover shows the Verderers crest in gilt. The spine shows the book title, together with the author's and publisher's names all in gilt. The corners show very little bumping and there is little shelf wear. The hinges are in good condition and the pages are tightly bound to the spine. The front and rear endpapers depict a map of the New Forest area in black ink on yellow paper. The pages are well cut and show little discolouration. The side edges show a little foxing and the top edges are grimy from storage on a bookshelf. The book contains several black and white photographs, some maps and black ink drawings at the start of each new chapter. The dust jacket shows a colour photograph of the forest with a picture of two ponies, grass and tree branches superimposed in black. The spine of the dust jacket has lost its magenta and yellow colours as a result of bookshelf storage in sunlight. The jacket spine therefore only shows blue colour. The jacket is in good condition with only a little discolouration on the inside surface.
