With the Flag to Pretoria Vol III and IV, After Pretoria: The Guerilla War by H W Wilson publ The Amalgamated Press 1902

£75.00

Product description

Publisher: The Amalgamated Press Limited, 1902. Hard covers without dust jackets as published. 528 pages Vol 3, 480 pages Vol 4, 1008 total. The half leather covers have gold titling on the front and raised, decorated bands on the spine. The boards are in good condition with light wear in places, shelf wear around the edges and bumping on the corners. The spines are more worn and bumped/frayed around the edges and the top/bottom. Unfortunately the covers are quite loose from the binding but still present and attached. The page block edges are gilt, internally the pages are tanned commensurate with age with a little foxing in places but the text is still entirely readable. These books, while fragile, are still attractive examples of a fairly rare series of historical texts complete with extensive photograph and drawn B&W illustration.
