Cactus Lexicon

£24.99

Product description

A substantial volume summarising the knowledge of the genus up until 1976. The title is followed by "with descriptions of many newer species (1966-73) by Walther Haage, Erfurt." It goes on to say with 543 illustrations "mostly in colour". While there are some very nice colour illustrations to my eye the majority are in B&W. 18 Distribution maps.

Blandford Press 1976. Hardback with clipped DJ. There is marked bleaching of the spine and edges of the cover and two vertical tears of the upper part of the hinges. The underlying boards are covered in brown cloth with gilt lettering and are in good condition. The front hinge is slightly suspect but otherwise the binding is good. Ink dedication on ffep dated 2007. No other marks.

A nice book but be aware that is it heavy and will necessarily incur additional postal costs outside the UK.
