Small but comprehensive guide to all types of Needlework, from the beginning of the 20th century. As well as embroidery, it touches upon Knitting, Crochet, Tatting, Netting and Lace-making. Contains patterns that can still be used. Clearly and attractively illustrated with numerous b/w images plus a few coloured plates. Undated, but c. 1909 according to inscription.

Hardback, green cloth decoratively printed in black on front and spine. Well illustrated with numerous b/w images plus coloured plates. Gold edged pages at head.

Condition: Very Good. Seems to have been kept in a thick card box, which although itself not in good condition, has served to protect the covers. Handwritten gift inscription on Half-title and short address noted overleaf. Ink from these has imprinted onto Title Page. Text pages clean and unmarked. Advertising section at end.
