Iain the Happy Puppy

£60.00

Product description

Subtitled as: "Being the Autobiography of a West Highland White Terrier". The book has blue cloth covered boards and spine. The spine cloth has faded to a lighter blue. The margins of the front and rear covers opposite the spine have also faded in a similar way. The cloth at the margins has also partially worn, especially at the edges of the book. This has caused considerable bumping to the corners although there is little shelf wear. The title and author's name are written in gilt letters embossed on the front cover. The same words and the publisher's name are written in black letters on the spine. The endpapers are not well-glued to the boards; they are lifting at both ends of the book causing the paper to cockle. The endpapers and pages are however well-glued to the spine. There is discoloration of the pages and foxing to the pages at the front and end of the book. There are also several small tears to the edges of the pages. The rear endpapers have some brown marks and a patch of perforated paper that has probably been caused by an aggressive agent. The book has various marks in the text and pictures especially from pages 39 to 43. The book has pencil sketches of the subject dog throughout, all drawn by the author. The book has no dust jacket.
