Indian Embroidery

£19.99

Product description

This hardcover book is in a fair condition overall. The cover of the book has a gilded title on the spine, and includes the original jacket. The cover of the book is noticeably damaged around the corners, wear the cover has been worn through. There are also some minor issues with markings on the cover as well. The jacket is less worn than the cover, but it does still have minor issues with fraying along the edges and minor markings throughout. The jacket also has markings on the inside, though this is only noticeable when the jacket is removed from the cover. Inside, there appear to be a selection of pages towards the end of the book that have a slight, but noticeable issue with foxing and markings. This does not appear to extend throughout the whole book and most pages appear to be in good condition.

This volume covers embroidery from many different regions of India, ranging from the elaborate floral designs of the Mughal court to the vibrant folk patterns embellished with cowrie shells and mirrors.
