Rhododendrons

£8.99 Out Of Stock

Product description

Published 1970.

Slight wear to jacket and small pen mark on front cover. Jacket has clear plastic sleeve. Slight foxing.

During the past 150 years hundreds of gardeners throughout the world have been experimenting with new hybrids of rhododendrons to suit particular conditions and produce blooms of specific colours. So much work has been done that some 10,000 new varieties have been created - not all of them being successful, naturally. The work is concerned with the large number of hybridized varieties, not just their botanical characteristics and history, but with all aspects of practical cultivation. The book is aimed at both amateur gardeners and professional growers.
