Rottweilers - An Owner's Companion

£5.99

Product description

The Rottweiler's origins are lost in the mists of time, but dogs of a similar type were certainly around in Roman times where they were used by the Legions as hunting and herding dogs.

The origins of the modern breed, as its name suggests, Rottweil in Germany, and it is the characteristics, care and training of the modern dog that this book is about. The author shares his considerable knowledge, beginning with the breed's standard, both in Britain and the United States, and the going on from buying a puppy, development and training, to kennelling, diet and ailments. For all aspiring trainers and judges there is even a whole chapter devoted to showing and judging. The book is illustrated throughout with black-and-white photgraphs and line drawings showing many past champions.

This is therefore a book for all Rottweiler owners, whether novice or experienced, and is a most complete and informative book.

The book has been signed by the author.

This book is in very good condition. There are slight signs of shelf wear to the dust jacket. Internally, the pages are clean and the binding is tight.
