William Moorcroft Behind the Glaze

£19.99

Product description

Neil Swindells' diligently researched book tracks William Moorcroft's life story, 1872 - 1945, including the tragedies that he endured in his early life before moving on to chronicle his time with James Macintyre & Co. Ltd. In 1913 W. Moorcroft Limited was formed and a new factory at Burslem was built. William Moorcroft's name went from strength to strength and the company is now as strong as it has ever been at any time in its history. 'Behind the Glaze' concludes with a Legacy chapter showing just how respected is the tradition of excellence started by the company's founding father a century earlier. The book has very slight bumping to spine corners. The jacket has some light rubbing marks on the glossy surface and slight edge-creasing.
An attractively printed and illustrated book.
