Inscribed by Donald McCullough on the title page, and dated Christmas 1951. Fifth edition, published 1946. Buff coloured boards with blue titling, decorated end papers, illustrated throughout by Fougasse. A copy in good condition, pages clean and crisp, no marks or stains, dust jacket fair, with pencil inscription of a previous owner inside inner cover, torn on outer right corner, chipped, but colours still bright.
William Donald Hamilton McCullough was a British writer and broadcaster. He was the first question master of The Brains Trust radio programme from its foundation in 1941.
McCullough first came to public notice in 1934 with Aces Made Easy which he wrote with illustrations by Fougasse, a humorous look at the game of bridge.
