A charming and amusing collection of anecdotes, aphorisms, advice and wit for the English Gentleman of the 1930's. Verses and drawings are nicely integrated. There are sections on being the perfect host, Etiquette, Food & Drink, Sport (including golf, shooting, Billiards, Money etc.

Very attractive pictorial board covers. Title on the spine is somewhat faded and there are signs of wear on the cover edges and corners. The spine and hinges are intact. The top of the title fly sheet has been ripped but the remaining pages which are printed on different coloured papers are generally clean.
