Product description

A collection of articles written for and published by Cornhill Magazine in the late nineteenth century. The author, who is not named in the book, was H. C. Beeching, Dean of Norwich. The book is bound in green with gilt lettering on the spine. Spine ends are bumped and worn with small splits in the cover; corners are similarly worn with slight fraying. The covers have light general marks and wear, and darkening around edges and down the spine. Text block edges are untrimmed, dust marked and slightly foxed. Inside pages have occasional marks and very light tanning around edges. Binding sound. A scarce first edition published in 1898.
