A neglected writer these days, G.K. Chesterton was the creator of the fictional detective Father Brown. But he was also a journalist, editor, and important commentator and writer on both political and religious issues, and a strong advocate of both Christianity and the Catholic faith. C.S.Lewis, amongst others, acknowledged his influence.
This is a collection of more light- hearted pieces, some even from his schooldays. This is also a rarity in that includes Chesterton's own drawings, many in colour. Published two years after his death.
First. In jacket, which is not clipped, has some slight marks and a few very small tears, and is generally faded. Apart from some light marking of outer edges, the contents are very clean. Gift message to first blank page.
One for Chesterton enthusiasts, relatively hard to find in any condition.
