A reference work for the Arabist, the student and the translator seeking clear and accurate information in dealing with the modern form of Classical Arabic used today throughout the Arab world as a written language and as the language of formal speech. This fourth edition is a revised, enlarged and improved version with 190 more pages than the previous edition. Although published in Germany this is an Arabic-English dictionary.
The navy blue cloth cover,with gilt titles, is in very good condition with only minor bumping to one corner on the front, the dustjacket is yellow with navy blue print titles and is slightly dirty with some scuffing but complete. Owners name inked onto FEP and a rubber stamp on the title page reads 'Sultanate of Oman internal security service dept' and an Arbic inscription presumabley saying the same thing. Otherwise clean and tight and insciption free.
