Pensees de Blaise Pascal (Thoughts of Blaise Pascal)

£50.00

Product description

Blaise Pascal (1623-1662) was a 17th century French polymath with a prodigious output. He turned from scientific to philosophical and religious thoughts in his later years during which he wrote down many of his profound thoughts and and observations. His premature death at the age of 39 prevented him from converting these into a complete script. After his death, many intellectuals were so impressed with his ideas and writings that they have been edited into books one of which (this one) is called Pensees de Pascal (Thoughts of Pascal) which is widely regarded a masterpiece.

This 1835 version is in French which is frankly not too demanding for anyone who has, for example, done A level French. It was printed in 1835 and not surprisingly shows its age but is nonetheless entirely readable.
