'Hiroshima Mon Amour' translated by Richard Seaver; ' Une Aussi Longue Absence' translated by Barbara Wright. 191pp; includes b/w photographs, stills from the films. Extract from Sypnopsis: " The time is summer, 1957 - August - at Hiroshima. A French woman, about thirty years old, has come to Hiroshima to play in a film on Peace ...The day before her return to France .. this anonymous woman meets a Japanese (engineer or architect) and has a very brief love affair with him ..." The book is tightly bound with crisp bright pages, a little foxing to front endpapers only. Black boards have titles in gilt on spine; lightly sunned with minimal wear to corners and spine ends.
