New Zone West (signed)

£4.99

Product description

LOPEZ WRITES: "The basis of the performance is most easily explained through the title which occurred to me as a combination of these ideas: The 'Zone' in Tarkovsky's film 'Stalker'; The phrase 'Fluxus Zone West' used by Beuys, Higgins, Williams et al for their happenings and degradable art, and the CND campaign for local councils to declare themselves 'Nuclear Free Zones'...I am attempting to define and to therefore help construct a community. The participants in each performance are the beginning. It is happening now, the baseline is a survival project. Everything else is open to discussion".

This book - written by Tony Lopez and published by In Performance London in 1983 - is a limited version signed by the author inside.

This book has been read but is in a very good condition. The paperback cover is relatively undamaged with dust jacket. All the pages are intact and the cover is intact.

Anyone with an interest in performing arts might enjoy this book.
