The book is " A critical and detailed appreciation of the recordings made between 1923 and 1933 by the foremost singer of her day". There is a Foreword by George Melly.
Binding tight although the spine edge inside the front cover is cracked. Pages clean but for an inscription inside the front cover which reads:- "To Geoff. With best wishes Ted" (so possibly signed by the author?). The front card board is bowed and the spine is slightly faded. There is a little shelf-wear at the edges.

Could you help us by collecting donations from donors homes? Our shop receives many offers of generous donations that we have to turn down as we do not have volunteers able to collect. We would ask you to collect in your own car, at your convenience and reimburse your petrol costs. It might be a couple of times a month and would make a really big difference to our ability to make money.
