Elliot Stock, London, 1906. Hardback. 107 Pages. Book Condition: Very Good. No Dust Jacket. Cream covers with bevelled edges and gilt decorations to front and spine. Some bumping to spine ends. The cream covers are a bit grubby, needing cleaned. Plain black end papers. Foxing/tanning to early and late pages. Rough-cut all edges. From contemporary advertisement: "The work is written In graceful and dignified blank verse, and is a readable study of a conspicuous figure in English history." The Scotsman (as printed in The Churchman Advertiser, August 1906). Frontispiece portrait of Cranmer in his later years, from the original picture in Lambeth Palace.
