Oeuvres de Moliere

£14.99

Product description

A collection of nineteen plays by the great French dramatist Moliere ( 1622-1673 ),which is the first book in a two-volume edition of his complete works. This first volume includes 'Le Misanthrope','L'Ecole des Femmes','Le Medecin Malgre Lui' and 'Don Juan'.

Note that the text is entirely in French. The book was published in Paris in 1878.It has inevitably deteriorated due to its considerable age and previous usage, but this is a tome that was crafted with considerable care and made to last. The binding and spine and spine show some signs of fraying but are well intact. The exterior pages are leafed with gold and the discolouration marks on the interior pages do not affect the legibility of the text, which is enhanced by ten beautiful colour illustrations depicting the playwright and the main characters from some of the plays.
