Paradise Lost

£99.99

Product description

This edition of the classic iambic poem of mankind's fall from Eden was printed in 1887 with a biographical foreword intended for Indian students written by John Bradshaw, the Schools Inspector of Madras. There are a few modern reprints of this book with Bradshaw's foreword, this is the extremely rare original, nearly 130 years old.

The covers have numerous marks, bent corners and the spine is considerably worn, damaging the title on the spine. The page edges are extensively foxed and the pages yellowed by age but the text remains easily legible.
