Publisher: Frederick Muller Ltd, London. Hardback, 1944, 120 pages. Blue cloth, half leather with full page colour lithographs by Mona Moore. Signed by the artist and thought to be a special presentation copy to her as it is rare if not unique in this binding. Cover, in blue cloth binding with dark blue leather spine and corners and gilt titling and decoration to spine and boards, is in good condition with some slight edge wear to spine and corners. Book is in good condition, clean with tight binding and no tears or inscriptions, apart from the clear signature of the illustrator Mona Moore on the inner flyleaf. There is some browning around the edge of the end papers and some faint yellowing of the pages. Overall an attractive, sound and probably unique copy of a lovely book of Sea poetry chosen by Myfanwy Piper and beautifully illustrated by a number of full page colour lithographs by Mona Moore, who, among other achievements, was a distinguished war artist.
