Shakespeare's Macbeth (Fourth Edition, Normal Tutorial Series)

£5.99

Product description

Fourth edition, undated (estimate early to mid 20th century) published by the Normal Press in their Tutorial Series. A scarce book.

Far more than just the playscript; A A Brayley has written extensive notes to accompany the play. The first twenty five pages cover the historic background of the play and its characters together with an analysis of the plot. There are some twenty seven pages of appendices covering the use of English in the play, the meaning and pronunciation of words and anachronisms. A really valuable book for anyone interested in the study of Shakespeare and Macbeth in particular.

There are the occasional pencil marks and notes in the text, mostly in pencil, some pen.

Clearly a well read book the cover has a fair amount of marks and light wear, there is a small tear and some weakness along the internal cover edge where it joins the spine.
