The Folio Press Shakespeare - 37 Volumes Complete

£350.00

Product description

A complete set of The Folio Press Shakespeare, thirty-seven individual volumes in six slip cases. Each individual volume has cream faux-leather hard covers with gilt titles on the spine and a six feather design on the front, dark brown top edge, dark brown endpapers, colour illustrations. The introductions and illustrators vary from volume to volume. Most volumes are 'as new' and appear not to have been used. Twelfth Night has a small, faint pink mark near the centre of the front board. Each cloth covered card slipcase is in a very sound condition but all six are sunned and faded, several have foxing on the top and one of them has a splash mark on the top. There is a label on the spine of each slipcase listing the volumes it contains. The volumes are individually dated from the late 1960s to the mid 1970s, the latest date being 1976. A wonderful set of the complete plays of Shakespeare with each play in a separate volume. Heavy set requires courier delivery.

Oxfam Bookshop Lymington

Lymington is on the South coast, bordering on the New Forest National Park which was created as a Royal Forest in 1079 by William the Conqueror, and first recorded as 'Nova Foresta' in the Doomsday Book in 1086. Our Oxfam Shop at 73, The High Street is in a lovely Georgian building, the tallest in Lymington. The elegant Georgian buildings lining the wide main street were built mostly for merchants in the local salt trade. The famous Saturday market brings the town to life with its variety of stalls. The area is renowned for outdoor pursuits, including camping, sailing, windsurfing, and surfing, as well as forest walks and horse riding.
