The husbands

£12.99

Product description

A highly energized verse structure, and techniques learned from both stage and cinema, have helped the author produce this English edition of Books Three and Four of Homer's "Iliad". Logue has also published treatments of Homer's "War Music" and "Kings". In the exceedingly brief synopsis of his life it is observed that he served 16 months in a military prison and published a pornographic novel. But he was much more than such facts might imply. This was one of what was projected to be a six volume of poetical presentation of the Iliad - five were written but he did no live to complete the sextet. Quite unashamedly he plagiarised other works - inevitably as he did not speak ancient Greek.

Faber paperback in very good condition There is a small crease at the front upper corner. Otherwise in very good condition.

Pretty strong stuff.
