Small but thick volume with olive green cloth covered boards blind stamped with a decorative centrepiece and border. The spine has the book details are in gilt text within a gilt frame. The exterior has much shelf-wear and marks. The front board, pastedown and ffe are completely loose from the binding, only being attached to the spine, leaving the binding exposed. There is an inscription on the pastedown in pencil dated 10-93, on the ffe is a price of 5/- in pencil. The first title page is completely loose, it has an inscription in ink dated 4th May 1841; the top part of the page is stained. Although loose and fragile the rear board is still well attached and rest of the binding is just about holding together. The corners are bumped.

The pages numbered around the low to mid 200s have a dark brown stain in the top outer corners cause by some liquid.
