Publisher: The Aston Martin Owners Club Ltd, London, 1965. Hardback, 404 pages, no dustjacket. Numerous b&w photographic and other illustrations, technical drawings and adverts plus a number of fold-out sectional drawings at the back of the book. Cover, in red boards and dark red cloth spine with white titling and designs to front and back and gilt titling to spine, is in decent condition with some general shelfwear and rubbing to edges, mild bumping to corners and spine extremities, mild fading to cloth backstrip and titling. Internally, the book is in generally good condition with firm binding and clean pages and illustrations and no tears or significant marks apart from some grubby marks and tanning to page block edges and a few small foxing marks here and there. Neat inscription on front endpaper dated September 1965. Overall, a sound, tight copy of this definitive Aston Martin book with many superb and detailed b&w photographic and technical illustrations of the various models and their constructional details and servicing and overhaul requirements backed up by detailed and highly informative text. The essential and definitive book for the classic Aston Martin owner and enthusiast which covers all models 1921 to 1958 from the early side-valves, the twin OHC, through the first and second series of the Bertelli cars of the late 20s and 30s, the 2 litre standard and speed models, to the DB series up to and including the DB2, DB2/4 and DB Mark III.
