John Bull's Practical Home Library

£24.99

Product description

John Bull's Practical Home Library is a set of twelve reference books under different headings. Each volume is by a different author and has 320 pages with around 200 illustrations. This is an incomplete set as the first volume is missing ('How Much Do You Know?' Thousands of questions and answers).

Each book has boards covered in blue cloth, with the title plainly embossed on the front and in gold on the spine. The board edges and head/tail caps are a little light-faded at the top with only slight shelf wear on the fore and bottom edges. The corners are not bumped. All of the page edges are light-faded, with the top edges being dyed blue by the manufacturer. The hinges and binding are tight.

While the endpapers are discoloured, the frontispieces, title pages and page faces are clean. The blue and white dust jackets are discoloured on the reverse, and tend to be torn along the top and bottom edges.

Book 1: 'How Much Do You Know?' - MISSING from this set.
