Dark green cloth cover with gilt titles on the front and spine, on the front is also a depiction of the Company's armorial bearings in gilt, the same illustration appears in full cover on the frontispiece. The corners of the book are very lightly bumped but the spine is not, overall the cover is in very good condition. There are 18 illustrations in the book, some are copies of portraits, some pictures of clocks and one is a copy of a brass plate. Internally the book is clean, bright and tightly bound. The text consists of listings of clockmakers' apprentices. It was compiled by Charles Edward Atkins from the records of the company. Mr Atkins was three times the master of the company, in 1897, 1909 and in 1928. The book was privately printed for the Company in 1931.
