£25.99

Product description

Subtitled as: "Incorporating Squire's Companion". The book is the first volume of a directory of all pharmaceutical substances known at the date of publication, April 1958. The book has dark blue cloth-covered boards and spine with the title, author and edition number shown in gilt on the front cover and spine. The front cover also shows the coat of arms of "The Council of the Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain" also in gilt. The front and rear covers have some white markings which appear to be patches of white paper stuck to the boards. The covers have rounded corners which are a little bent but there is no sign of bumping or significant shelf wear. The black endpapers are well-glued to the boards. All pages are well-glued to the spine apart from page iii. The pages are a little yellowed but there is no sign of foxing. All pages have red edges. Page i shows the stamp of "The College of Advanced Technology, Birmingham - Pharmacy Department" with some similar words hand-written on the opposite page.
