Publisher: Ian Allan Ltd, London, 1949, 1st edition. Hardback with unclipped dustjacket, 176 pages. Illus with B&w photographs. Cover, in blue boards with silver titling to spine, is in decent condition commensurate with age, with light bumping and fading to spine extremities. Internally the book is in good, clean and tight condition for its age with some foxing to endpapers and first few pages. No tears or creases, neat prize label on front endpaper (dated 1949) and a couple of light rectangular marks on front and rear endpapers. The un-clipped dustjacket (shows price of 12/6) is in reasonably good and bright condition for its age with some shelfwear to edges, bumping to corners, a small tear on bottom front edge, small tears and creasing to bottom edge of rear and a small tear to top of spine. Overall a good firm 1st edition copy of this railway classic in a decent unclipped jacket.
