Transactions of the Monumental Brass Society (9 volumes)

£44.99

Product description

A collection of 9 volumes of the journal Transactions of the Monumental Brass Society. The collection includes the following volumes: Vol. XI Part III (published June 1974), Vol. XI Part IV (published October 1974), Vol. XI Part VI (published June 1975), Vol. XII Part I (published July 1976), Vol. XII Part II (published August 1978), Vol. XII Part V (published December 1980), Vol. XIII Part I (1980), Vol XIII Part II (1981), and Vol. XIII Part III (1982). They detail information on conferences, the history of objects, new finds and general histories with reference to brass finds. They contain essays written by a variety of shcolars.
The journals are all in good condition. They are in grey card covers, which have some edge wear. Most of the covers have pencil markings (mostly prices in the top corners of the journals) and one of the journals has tea or coffee stains on the cover but is still perfectly readable. In some of the journals, there are unopened pages (the top edges of the pages are still joined together). There is a little edge wear to some of the pages, but overall they are in a great condition without foxing. There are very detailed illustrations and photographs within the journals, most of them in black and white.
These journals provide an interesting read into historical objects of interest to the society and have beautiful detailed imagery.
