Two volumes in a leather slipcase.
The case is marked, particularly on the bottom. The hinges on the flap are beginning to weaken. There is a space behind the front of the case, in which to tuck the flap.
The covers of the books are very good, only the slightest rubbing. The contents are lightly browned and remarkably free of spotting and other marks.
Written in both books is an 1836 gift message and a previous owner's name, dated 1867.
